Ruin Lines

 

Architecturally inspired design, influenced by Witley Court a beautiful country house which was devastated by fire in 1937 and is now known as one of England’s most beautiful ruins.

This project demonstrates my real artistic passion deep-rooted with collage, painting and embellished stitch as fundamental aspects of this body of work.

This moody Gothic style of work gave me a beautiful colour scheme of deep blue and greys created with Indian ink and bleach marbling, my designs were a mixture of delicate fabric and surface embellishments with sharp hints of gold ochre.
